My Cute Kids

I know I might be biased but I seem to think that my kids are so cute and funny :) I guess that is what every mom thinks of their own kids, huh? Well, Ann Mason and I are back from Nashville and we had such a great time! It was so fun to hang out with Kelly and Caroline and Palmer had a great time with his Mamaw so it was a win-win for everyone! Here are some pics of Ann Mason in her polo jogging suit her neenie gave her, I like to refer to her as Sporty Spice :) I am also including a dance mix of Palmer! His Aunt Ashley gave him a Dalmatian that wears a trench coat and flashes everyone while singing "Fire" for V-day!!! Yes, not the most appropriate gift for a 22 month old boy but nonetheless Palmer of course loves it! This is Ann Mason's "Word to my Homies" look :) Check out P's dance moves, do you think he will be on "So You Think You Can Dance" one day? >

Caroline was born 9 days after Ann Mason and her mommy is my bestest and oldest friend in the world! We headed down here to visit and hang out with Caroline and Kelly and it has been great! Here is a video of the two girlies and me, they are already friends for life!

TGIF

I am really glad it is Friday! In a way it makes me sad that yet another week has sped by and that means that I have less times to spend at home with my babies. But on the other hand HALELUJAH it is FRIDAY!!! the kids and I have stayed busy this week but man I am glad it is the weekend and I am ready for Tex to be home :)

I have a big day tomorrow ;) Ann Mason and I are headed to Lexington to visit Erin and Riley for a few hours before heading off to Ashley's wedding shower! I can't wait to see all of the fun presents she gets and to just kick off her wedding extravaganza! I think it will get me in the spirit of the wedding season to come!

Other than that we are doing pretty much nothing which is great! You all have a great weekend and I will post some pics come Sunday!

Picture Wednesday

Happy Hump Day! It seems like the days are flying and that is NO good cause have I told you how much I am enjoying staying home with my babies? Well, if I haven't mentioned it lately I LOVE it :) Today is a rainy day so we went "mall walking" and swung by the 1/2 price book store (which is FABULOUS) and picked up Palmer a new movie. He picked out Jimmy Neutron which is funny and he is currently glued to the tv! Since I am a cool mom I got out his "CARS" tent and sleeping bag and put them in the living room and he is having a picnic and watching his movie! You can't ask for much more! Ann Mason is doing what she does best snoring away :)

I haven't posted pics in a while so here they are.... It is mainly just pics from around the house, we will have some more exciting ones soon!

Palmer wants to be everywhere his sister is, he keeps her entertained!

Palmer LOVES his sister and wants to hold her a lot!

This is what happens when Aunt Ashley comes over with CAKE!

I am SO tired my bow fell off!

One Year Blogging Anniversary!

I just realized that it has been one year this month that I started blogging! Unfortanetly most of my projects are short lived for one reason or another so I feel as if this is a major accomplishment :)

What a difference a year makes, it is so neat to go back and look at all of my entries over the past year and just reflect on things that have happened and how much has changed!

I have also made another goal to have at least one "kid-free" post a week :) While I know that you all love my kiddos I also need to feel like I have a life outside of them as well :) So this will be my "kid-free" post of random thoughts! haha

Here are some of the things I have been doing, enjoying and thinking about when I am not consumed with the kiddos!

* So, I have been watching DWTS!(aka Dancing with the Stars) I am generally not a fan of this show but this season has a great cast and I am getting kind of into it!
I am SO proud of Melissa, she is kicking some major butt! I am glad to see her bouncing back and taking advantage of her 15 minutes of fame :)

I also had to add another picture of my personal favorite hottie Chuck. I like him for really no other reason other than he is HOT and fun to look at!!!

It should be interesting to watch the season progress a lot of these stars have the potential to be really good!

** As for books a couple have caught my eye and I am dying to get them but I am waiting until I read all of the books I have upstairs until I purchase anymore! But if you happen to be looking for a good read both of these books look awesome! Let me know if you have read them....

Sunday at Tiffany's - James Patterson

Firefly Lane- Kristin Hannah

*** I have also been getting ready for some weddings showers for Ashley! I actually have 5 wedding/baby showers for Ashley and friends from now until May 1st so I am really pumped to get in the wedding mode and go to all of these fun events!!

**** I have still been mall walking and walking outside. I haven't seen the dramatic results that I dream about :) but I am definitely feeling good and I know if I keep it up I will see some results! I found a really cool and FREE website that tracks your food and activity. It is www.sparkpeople.com and it is a great website if you are looking to keep a food journal, track your excersicing or get free tips on anything from weight loss to recipes!

***** Speaking of websites my favorite blogger over at Kelly's Korner intorduced me to a website/store call Sam Moon! Google it and visit the website it has the greatest jewelry for CHEAP,CHEAP,CHEAP!!! I wish we had a store around here but I will take the website.

That is about all that I have had time to get into lately! I will have some fun and exciting posts soon and pics from all of these showers!

To my precious daughter.....

To my precious daughter, you are a month old today. A month old, is that even possible? As I sit here staring at you and watching you sleep so soundly I thank God that He brought you to me. You are everything I have dreamed of and more. The joy that you have brought to this family is overwhelming, you have truly completed us.

You are such a happy baby and right now all you do is sleep, eat and look cute! I enjoy everything about you from the way that your long legs and arms stretch out when you take a bath, to the way that you grunt at night when you are sleeping. When your awake you love to just look around and always seem to turn her head to your crazy brother. You have the biggest round eyes... I am not sure where you got them from! Right now they are blue but I am wondering if they will turn brown soon?

Your brother adores you and kisses you all of the time even when I am not looking! Today he tried to give you your paci when you were crying and daddy told me he tried to burp you tonight :)

I was so worried about having a daughter because it scares me. I want to be such a good mother, one that you look up to and admire. I want to teach you how important morals and values are. Most importantly I want to provide you with strong self esteem to know that you are beautiful, worthy and so important. I want you to always feel good about yourself and the person you are because that will get you so far in life. I want you to know that what is popular is not always right and what is right is not always popular! (Ok that was a total "mom" comment!) I want you to be comfortable in your own skin and not to spend years trying to cover up or conform to what you think others want you to be! I want you to be happy and feel loved unconditionally. I want you to experience all that this world has to offer and so much more....

I am so blessed to be your mother and to call you my daughter. I have always dreamed of a daughter that would someday be my best friend. I have high hopes for you my dear :) I know there will be times that you dislike me and many times when you think I am trying to ruin your fun :) but remember I will never do anything that doesn't have your best interest at heart. Everything I do and every decision I make is with you and Palmer in mind. You both make me a better person each day and for that I am eternally grateful!

I love you so much and I have loved and cherished these last 4 weeks together!

I love you. Mommy
