Resort Crashing Part II

Today we "crashed" another resort, the Emerald Grand. It was absolutely stunning! It overlooked the ocean and had the most magnificent views! We crashed it in style with 4 adults and 9 children under the age of 5! I don't think the 20 something girls on vacation thought we were that much fun! I wanted to yell at them as they stared in disbelief "This will be you in 10 years!"

We had a blast and the kids were worn out! Here are some pictures from our beautiful excursion!

Beach Bums

Today the kids and I had a great day! We relaxed, took naps and finally went to the beach. Let me tell you, I have some major beach bums...literally :) Palmer loves the beach and chasing seagulls and laughed louder and harder than he ever has! It was so fun to see them be in such awe over the amazing beauty of the sand and ocean. If I could bottle up all of their "child-like amazement" and keep it with me forever, I would!

We attempted a beach photo shoot but as with anything these days keeping these two under wraps isn't easy!

My sweet Ann Mason (this is one of my favorites!)
We changed Palmer out of his swimmy diaper and when I turned around he was
running naked down the beach chasing seagulls!
I love these "beach bums"

Resort Crashers

My cousins introduced me to a whole new world today... "Resort Crashing". In Louisville we always "crash" boring apartment pools but in Destin the opportunities for "crashing" pools is endless! We ended up at the Palms resort today and pretty much had their entire pool to ourselves it was fabulous! We plan on "crashing" some more resorts this week! They kids had a blast and Palmer thought he was in heaven!

Palmer getting psyched about the totally awesome pool!

So pretty! This is just a small portion of the pool, it resembles a lazy river.

I'm a Survivor... I'm gonna make it!

Well, the kids and I are finally safe and sound in the sunshine state! To say the last week has been crazy would be a complete understatement. I won't bore you with the excruciating details of our chaotic life because it would just make me even more exhausted! haha We officially are non-homeowners as of Friday! Our closing went as smooth as can be expected and the moving was fairly fast but not painless. It was bittersweet to say goodbye to a house that for us held so many precious memories. It was a house that we made a home, a home that Tex and I built, a home that we welcomed our first fur baby and eventually our two wonderful children! I realize that with each door that closes another one opens. I await our new adventures in Simpsonville and plan to make many more memories at our new home!

Our ride to Florida was exciting and chaotic! There were just a few hiccups on the road to Florida like the scary hotel we had to sleep in where I put a dresser up against the door because I have watched too many datelines and primetimes :) Or better yet when I look at Palmer in the backseat just in time to see him throwing up all over himself! Yes, he threw up about 2 gallons of curdled milk... I know way too much information! Other than that the kids were as good as gold and I was very proud of myself for surviving the drive by myself despite all of the pity looks from onlookers along the way!

We have had a great first few days here swimming, seeing my cousins, hanging out with neenie and pop and just trying to get adjusted! I promise I will post more this week and track our Templeton Road Trip 2009!

Here are some recent pics from the trip:

Ann Mason LOVES Florida!

I love this picture for some reason! This is at a great outdoor shopping center that has a park and water fountains... .Palmer was in awe!

My view in the morning when I wake up, I love living in Paradise even if it is temporary!

It's Official!

Palmer and Tex
Destin, Florida
November 2007

It's Official.... the kids and I are Florida bound for 11 days!!! After much debating Tex and I thought it was the best idea for the kids and I to go to just one place for the time we are "displaced" from our home :) He is going to take Molly and "gypsy" around while I am gone! We have never been away from each other more than maybe 5 nights in the 10 years since we started dating so I am sad to leave him for such a long time. Tex is being a great sport as always (I would be pouting like a baby if he was goign with the kids to Florida without me!).

My boss is being so great as always and letting me work from down there! I am nervous and very excited at the same time! I am going to make the most of our trip and just take in the beach, the sand and spending time with my kids!

I think I will be so much better once I make it through the drive and get to mom's house! I will post all of our fun adventures, I am sure this trip will make for great stories and memories!

Happy 6 Month Birthday

ANN MASON TEMPLETON 6 MONTHS
08/16/2009

Annie,
As you sleep upstairs so peacefully my mind is racing through the past 6 months of your life. Snapshots in my mind and memories in my heart make me feel so blessed right now. I can laugh and cry almost instantly thinking of the joy you have brought our family in these short 6 months. Everything about you is beautiful inside and out! Your smile can light up a room, your laugh can draw crowds and your sad tears have the ability to break a million hearts. You are such a big personality that everyone around you is drawn to you. You have surpassed all of my dreams of having a daughter and for that I am forever grateful. I long for you to stay the age you are and yet I anxiously await for the days to see the beautiful young lady you will blossom in to. I can't imagine our family without your ever present happiness! We love you unconditionally... Mommy, Daddy, Palmer and Molly

What are you doing these days?
* You are eating solids and have worked your way thru most vegetables and fruits! You seem to like everything except green beans and your favorites right now are applesauce and bananas!
* To my disbelief you are weeks away from crawling! (I have to admit I was hoping you would wait a little longer to be so mobile! haha) You "army crawl" thru the whole house and are drawn to cords and getting underneath every piece of furniture.
* You are still sleeping great.... You go to bed around 8:30 and wake up around 7:30.
* You are becoming quite active and you are starting to give Palmer a run for his money! You steal his sippy cup without warning, you rearrange his cars and you crawl into his lap constantly. He was hesitant at first of these new milestones but now he embraces you and loves to interact with you at any moment.
*You have now been officially hit 101 times with Palmer's golf club. Palmer aka Tiger Woods doesn't realize how close he gets to you when he performs his PGA swing in the living room! Even though you are aware of the danger you can't help but be drawn to him and the golf club.
*You continue to LOVE your daddy and everything he does. I know that is a battle I will lose over the years because you two have a special bond that melts my heart.
*You still have no teeth but are definitely teething! Everything goes straight in the mouth.
*You are so close to sitting up and can sit up by yourself for a few seconds... you would rather be crawling thru the whole house.
*You love the pool and the bath more than anything. You are becoming quite a fish in water.
*You are still an amazingly happy and content baby that loves life!

We love you more than you know! Happy 1/2 Year Birthday Baby Girl!

Swim At Your Own Risk....

Today might have been one of the top 10 days with the kids ever! We spent 5 glorious and RELAXING hours at the pool on this beautiful and sunny day!!! We headed to Walmart early this morning and got Palmer his very own Spiderman Life jacket (spiderman was all they had left, I was hoping for speedo or something...) I think it might be the best purchase I have ever made! He LOVED it and swam all by himself ALL day long! I was the proudest mom at the pool!

We met our friends Katie ,Will ,Heather and Max and the babies played and napped and Palmer and Max swam and had a great time! None of the kids made hardly a peep for 5 whole hours it was pure bliss! We topped off the day with delicious ice cream cones from Graeters! Life is sweet....

Double Date

Today at the Templeton house we had quite the double date! Sara dropped Isabella and Jack off at the house for a few hours and we had ourselves a great time! I quickly realized what it would be like to have 4 kids under the age of 2!!! Thankfully everyone was absolutely perfect and I have a feeling that Palmer and Isabella are quite smitten with each other! All they did was squeal and yell each others names! I hope this foursome will be best friends for a long time to come! Here is the best shots I could get of their double date~!

Couple #1 - Can you tell they think they are SO hilarious!

Couple #2- Does Jack look like "the man" or what?

Trying for everyone to look at the camera!

Sweet, Sweet kids! I loved every minute of this!

Got Milk?

This is by far my favorite time at night, when I realize that all of my dreams really have come true....

Men Are From Mars...

For those of you that know me personally you know that I LOVE my husband dearly. He is my best friend and one of the hardest workers I know. With that being said after 10 years he still has the ability to make me cock my head to the side, scrunch my nose and brow and look at him like he has just spoken to me in Japanese.

Here is a great example: We are t-minus 8 days till moving out of our house and we have SOOO much to do! No one is on a schedule, boxes are taking over our house and things are just chaotic! I am constantly making to-do lists and planning my course of action for the next 8 days... this is something that Tex despises; my planning!

So, our conversation goes a little something like this today:

Me: Hey babe hope your having a good day, what time are you going to be home tonight? We have so much to get done... what room should we tackle tonight? I rolled out all of the utilities and, Oh I got brand new plates at Kohl's I am so excited... the movers are scheduled and I called the contractor, etc... (you see where I am heading with this)

Tex : That's great babe I will be home sometime late this afternoon (thanks for narrowing it down buddy!) Don't know what room to start on but we will get it done babe don't worry about it.

Me: Ok, well I will cook dinner and we can start doing some things after the kids are in bed I just feel like we are in over our heads but I am sure you are right we will get things done. We just have SO much to do and I just want to make sure we have time to get it all done.

FAST FORWARDED TO ONE HOUR LATER:

Tex: Hey babe on lunch, just calling to check on you. What did you feel like doing tonight? Are there any good movies that we can rent?

Seriously???????? Are all men like this or just mine? And who the heck does he think is going to pack our entire house that includes his two kids and dog, the packing fairy? He was lucky we were on the phone and that I was busy at work! Men... can't live with them, can't live without them!

Help Me, Help You!

Ok, so this is an interactive post! I am trying to figure out why none of my readers leave comments? Is it just because y'all don't want to or is it that I have messed with my settings so much that y'all are unable too? I can tell that more people are reading my blog but every time I go down to that little section of comments, it always has a big fat goose-egg!

I would love to know who is reading my blog and to also be able to go and check out your blogs if you have them! Maybe I need to spice things up a bit to get some comments, I will work on that! haha

Going to the Chapel....

The Templeton's are worn out after a fun filled wedding weekend! This weekend two of my best friends in the world married each other in the most beautiful ceremony! Frank (the groom) and I have been best friends since we were sophomores in high school and Kimmie (the bride) and I have been best friends since junior year in college. Three years ago I invited them both to our house for a day at Churchill and from that day the sparks flew! Three years later they are SO in love and SO adorable and are one of the most compatible couples that I have ever met! I couldn't be more happy for two people and I am so glad to get to share our lives with them for many years to come!

The weekend was filled with wedding festivities galore and I don't think I was home for more than 10 minutes from Thursday night till Sunday but it was such a great time! Here are some of my fav pics from this weekend...

1. The Happy Couple
2. Erin and I at the Rehearsal Dinner
3. The Bride and I at the Bridal Luncheon
4. Ann Mason and I on our way to the luncheon

5. Tex and I at the rehearsal
6. Katie and I in our beautiful bridesmaid dresses

7. The Beautiful Bride Kimberly Cupolo!
8. All of the girls in the limo

9. Tex and I after the ceremony
10. Jamie G and I after the ceremony

11. Kimmie on the AWESOME trolley we took to the reception!
12. Sylvia and I at the church

13. Whit, Tiff and I
14. The most amazing group of girls that I know! Best Friends....

15. The cutest couple toward the end of the night! Kimmie had a sassy "exit dress"!

Despite this weekend being SO much fun it was also a little bittersweet.... this is the last wedding out of all of us girls and I think that hit us all as we danced around in the circle and looked at each other while memories of the last 10 years flashed around us. It is amazing to have such a close knit group of friends and I am so blessed to be a part of it. I had so much fun seeing all of my friends from high school and college. It is hard to believe that time can pass so fast.... I guess like they say "Time Flies When Your Having Fun...."
